What to do about Oily Skin?

First, let your skin know you mean peace!  If you have oily skin with blackheads and are in the practice of treating it with drying agents and astringents to reduce oil production, PLEASE STOP! Let me explain, you are causing your skin to over produce oil because you keep taking it away.  The more you keep taking it away, the more it produces.  The blackheads come because the pores are  irritated and open. All the impurities in the air are going to go right in your pores.  Does it seem like your skin is resisting your efforts?  So now what?  Your skin is like that person you thought you could change!  How did that work for you?  Stop the pocking, excess cleaning, the facials, scrubbing, drying agents, and astringents.  Let it do it's thing.  I know this is going to be really hard for you (professional pimple popper)! Your skin will continue to fight back for a while until it realizes you are not throwing it your usual curve ball.  It will eventually adjust back to what it considers "normal". Be patient, your skin does know what normal should look like.  If you want to speed up the process, give it oil!  It wishes nothing more than balance, so it will back up the oil production if you give it oil. I recommend Moisture-Lock Hydrating Oil. It regulates oil production, making it an effective step in an acne control regimen. Use a Gentle Cleanser to remove dirt and prevent excess cleaning. During the day, use a light moisturized that will not clog the pores or excess oil or dryness. Daily Defense Anti-Aging Day Cream with SPF 30 is light enough for those with oily skin.
